Mr. AlSaeed does not dispute any of the facts stated by Mr. Ibrahim. Instead he objects to Mr. Ibrahim finding the barbaric actions he cites as appalling. Saudi Arabia has for years announced various reforms, but somehow little follows from such announcements. The only anti-terrorist efforts expended by Saudis are inside Saudi Arabia to protect themselves from those they incited and funded in the first place. Most of the suicide murderers inside Iraq have been Saudis. Inciting hatred of Jews and Christians is still government policy and money to spread that hatred is still exported daily to other parts of the world, including Europe and the U.S.. There is no religious freedom in Saudi Arabia. Female oppression continues. Terrorist organizations and apologists for them still get money from the House of Saud. Saudi Arabia has had full opportunity to join the civilized world and it has chosen instead to undermine western civilization. Very belatedly, the West is waking up to what is going on. Mr. AlSaeed calls Saudi Arabia a developing country. Sad to say, from this vantage point; if anything, it is moving backwards, not forward, not developing, but immersing itself further in its 7th and 8th century days of triumph.
