Give me a break. The Congress DID pass come up with a workable AMT plan, that would have added very little to the deficit. But God forbid, the Republicans refuse to allow their ultra rich friends to pay anything like a fair share. The former party of "fiscal responsibility" repeatedly insists that we MUST go deeper and deeper into debt. Republican Jimmy Carters! Thanks to Republican protection of the super-rich and complete fiscal IRRESPONSIBILITY, I may have to pay an additional $3,000 in taxes this year I can scarcely afford. At least the Dems are trying to do something, but the Republican dead-enders actions are threatening millions of people like ME a massive tax increase. I voted for Ford, Reagan and both Bushes, but after the last 5 years, I vow NEVER to vote Republican again. Protect the middle class and run the budgets responsibly! John DiLeo
