N'Dour's Language Lesson

Shame on you Bret McCabe. It was disappointing to read a review with such a narrow perspective? As much as I love Youssou N'dour's music, he is but one example of our many, many talented and successful musicians from Africa. We have pride and confidence as continental Africans which allows us to be open to any part of the world. Ms. Angelique Kidjo from Benin, West Africa, another " well-known and critically heralded living African musician," summed it up well " I like my culture . . . I like my identity. All the music comes from Africa . . . so I think I'm entitled to do any type of music I want. For all the difference in the music of our time . . the river of Africa flows through it all."
