Fate of Horse-Drawn Carriages in Balance
in response to reader comment: Who are the extremists?

Submitted by Naomi Semeniuk, Dec 2, 2007 15:59

I suppose that when the Honorable Al Gore made extremist remarks about global warming and reached out to world leaders and scientists about this life threatening issue rocking the stability and balance of the planet, he was considered an extremist. The Coalition to Ban Horse Drawn Carriages have it right on. It's the prevailing archaic backward thinking primitive voices who want to keep horses enslaved and in harm's way along with human's in harm's way that have the wrong headed extremist views that's costing the city lives, lawsuits and time bomb ticking accidents that can occur any day and time. It's all a ploy for greed's sake and any irrational pro carriage horse voice spokespersons like Ms.Daly is just another irrational and unintelligent extremist for the wrong causes desperately latching on to an archaic deadly business that's killing horses and will keep on killing. It should go down in the history books as one of the most animal abusive and perilous businesses to horses, humans, non humans and traffic. The cities that have banned this business are extremely progressive and are using their 21st century brains for the betterment of all concerned.
