City Should Give Nascar Another Lap

Submitted by Judy, Dec 3, 2007 07:12

NASCAR is made up of men and women dedicated to the sport and the sport is ruled with an iron fist. You do not hear of drugs, alcohol or illegal guns being used by these athletes. They have zero tolerence for that kind of behavior.

I'm sorry you did not elaborate on Jimmie Johnson and his fellow racers that have foundations and give millions to charity. Jimmie gave all his winnings from the Atlanta race to the Red Cross to help the victims of the California fires. He also, with the help of his sponsor, built a bowling alley for the Victory Junction Gang camp in North Carolina. Victory Junction Gang Camp is a wonderful place, started by the racing Petty family for children with terrible health issues. There is lots more to these folks than meets the eye.

I live in Florida between Daytona and Homestead and I know neither community would give up their NASCAR tracks.
