The Mormon Church (LDS) is a tightly controlled religious entity.policies come down the chain from the council in Salt Lake City.

Since statehood the Mormon church has maintained a policy of political correctness in it public pronouncements.The Mormon church is the leading denomination in both Samoa and the island nation of Tonga -- it is wiorthwhile to go to the net and see the churches influence in those nations when it reaches a numerical surperiority or even ascendeny
