Judge Lands at Center of a New York Legal Mystery

Submitted by Queens resident, Dec 3, 2007 21:37

This Judge, living comfortably in Westchester, ruled that Fresh Meadows had discriminated in the housing project against minorities. Instead of ruling that fairness should be the law, he decreed that all apartments at a three to one ratio will go to minorities. Without concern for the existing balances, he took this neighborhood and created an unbalanced out of proportion influx of minorities, now discriminating against white people who also needed moderate cost housing.
What did he care what the results would be. All the schools changed drastically, lost their ability to assimilate a changing population, and if not for the Asian immigration, this neighborhood would have lost all it's personality and property values. Remember when Bloomingdales became K-Mart..... how are the stores in Scaresdale doing.......
Living so comfortably insulated in Westchester.......... he should have retired 30 years ago.
