This is just the latest "feel good" issue. A month ago it was water bottles.
If the city could get the bus and subway system to run on time they could save more oil in one day than banning plastic bags or bottles, which almost all consumers prefer over the alternatives. The city should pay attention to the general public and not the special interest groups.
What will next months issue be? Christmas trees?
