Mark Steyn, brilliant as usual. Ms Gill, well put. The exquisitely honed sensibilities of the enemies of Western Civ. (atheists, multiculturalists and muslims,-- who'd a'thunk it!) those that find offense under every rock, the current crop of youth who will tolerate no disrepect, are not leading us to a kinder more gentler world, but to some sort of brutal showdown. The civilized world, in the end, will be forced to decend into barbarism---to unleash a horrific violence against its enemies. Much like the beginnings of WWII, when everyone in Germany was a proud Nazi and the democracies felt compelled to placate them, it was only when their cities lay in ruins, and millions had died, that suddenly in Germany there was hardly a Nazi to be found. Everyone was an innocent bystander. By the end of the 21st century there will be no militant Islam, just innocent bystanders. As an atheist I pray this comes about without the need for the millions of dead that humans can wreak and that history tells us is one solution to an inhuman ideology.
