Jackson Heights Gay Pride Festival Is Magnet for Lawmakers

Submitted by Jim Russell, Dec 5, 2007 04:32

Ask any old-time Jackson Heights resident and you will find general unanimity that "diversity" has been a disaster for Jackson Heights.

Pedestrians must now wait three times as long to merely cross 37th Avenue near 74th Street because of the constant stream of noisy traffic. Garbage pails are symbolically overflowing. The metal gates that shopkeepers ritually roll down each evening attest to the level of safety and security of America's most diverse zip-code--to use the term "community" or "neighborhood" in reference to post-1990 Jackson Heights would be a misnomer.

Hopefully the fate of a once-lovely, exclusive neighborhood like Jackson Heights can serve as a warning to those at risk of being seduced by the persistent promoters of so-called "diversity."
