Mr. Morgenthau is looking out for the rights of victims, no matter where they come from, legally or illegally. What difference does it make? A criminal should be prosecuted. These thieves prey on the elderly also. Instead of thinking about the illegal status of these people (which upsets me too,) think about a safer NYC. I believe Mr. Morgenthau knows what he is doing and has oru best interests at heart. He is not offering them drivers licenses.
