I'm not sure what your point is - kinda - but... I find interesting that President Bush has NOT visited Israel once in the 7 years he's been in office. Yet, he feels qualified to tell Israel it has to give up even more of it's nation to see another probably terrorist state established? Something is very wrong with that picture.
He only waited until he could have a "peace summit" which Israel would agree to almost anything before he could at least visit the most consistent ally the U.S. has in that region. I get this "picture" in my head of Bush being a type of vampire sucking the life out of Israel while Condi and Olmert and Abbas cheer.
Why, pray tell, isn't anything being asked of Jordan? That is where Arafat first went to seek land for the "displaced Palestinians" to have a state. Rightfully so, I add. Since Jordan has most of the land that comprised former Palestine, would that not be the logical place to go? Especially since Israel is a small area that is about to be even smaller - Palestine would be best served in a larger area on the other side of the Jordan. More land for all the people to share.
Until there is no longer hatred toward the Jews and toward Israel, I feel it best if Israel is allowed defensible borders.
Then again, this generation has never experience death camps, or displaced person's camps, or war on the level that our parents and grandparents have. We lack knowledge of what it means to be in the middle of an area of land that is surrounded by hostile countries.
These are just a few thoughts. sigh
