Romney Speech Is Readied To Explain His Faith to Public

Submitted by Brian Davis, Dec 6, 2007 02:13

Two of the above reflections on Mormonism are so full of errors that I have to wonder what the various ministers are teaching their flocks about the LDS faith. Patricia Brown believes Joseph Smith was hanged for horse theft. Smith was shot while on trumped up charges of treason brought up by the same governor who passed a law making it legal to kill Mormons within the state of Missouri. Another claims various issues with Mormon scripture. The LDS Church uses the King James Version of the Bible, and believe it to be the word of God. If you want to understand the church, go to www.lds.org and search for any topic you wish. Also, if you want to read Mormon scriptures, they are avaiable online at scriptures.lds.org.

As for Romney and racial issues, his father was one who criticized the church for not giving the priesthood to blacks prior to 1978. Let Romney's record speak for itself, and let the church speak for itself, but don't make Romney speak for the church.
