Excellent article. I to, as a child advocate have seen so many of these children that only need a home, a family, someone to love them and show them that they are important. It seems lately there are more and more of the articles such as Madona Adopts child, Angalina Adopts two child, Sharon Stone adopts child. Celeberitys are going overseas to adopt children. I am happy that these children have been saved from their situation but, sad that there are so many children here in the US that go with out homes and families to love them. The children that you see on the streets are usually not there by choice they "aged out" of the State system. We as a whole have told them by nonaction that they are not loveable enough to have a home or family. Last year I attended a Christmas party for foster children, when we sat a 7 year little girl in Santa's lap, she was asked what do you want for Christmas? Her answer A mommy and daddy. There was not a dry eye in the place.
