Poll: Americans Reach New Level of Discontent Over Iraq War

So, according to this poll, a plurality of Americans think the Democrats not only can do a better job of solving America's problems but also are better able to handle Iraq. And on what exactly does that plurality base that opinion? The Dem's many detailed, well-crafted plans that were unveiled during the election? After the election? Last week? Yesterday? And the public looks to Democratic leadership on the issues even though the leaders themselves enjoy less than 30% approval? And The public's second-highest priority for Congress, after arranging for troop drawdowns in Iraq, is to work on providing universal health care coverage in America? Baloney.

Given the difficulty these days of obtaining polling data that accurately reflects the nation's opinions, I'm not likely to put much faith in a poll commissioned by the agenda driven Los Angeles Times. It's telling that Bloomberg provided no sampling information or data, none of the actual questions asked and selected Chuck Hagel to provide it's one and only Congressional quote.
