Reader comment on:
High Tech War Against Plagiarism Is Coming to New York Schools
in response to reader comment: Lawsuits?

Submitted by Kim, Dec 7, 2007 01:38

You ('Concerned Teacher) said,

"Turnitin may not be your choice, but it is a viable choice for an educational system tired of excuses, dodges, and flat out cheats. Sorry."

Seems to me that you're just lazy as well. Tired of excuses, dodges and flat out cheats? Just sounds like an excuse to take a break. You said so yourself you worked 60 hours a week without a lunch break. Why wouldn't a teacher like you want to simply relax and let Turnitin do all the work for you?

Just because you're tired of excuses and dodges, you turn to an unreliable source to check if your students are plagiarizing. (I know that you never straight out wrote in your response that you used Turnitin, but the fact that you defend it implies that you are for it.)

Not lazy? Come on. That's the funniest thing I've heard all day. Sorry.
