Thank you Mr. Gardner for another great read.

Yes, how often in our sport it is the artist who is derided and brought down. And how funny it is (sad-funny) that so often these complainers are coaches.

But then again, perhaps one should not be surprised, for after all who is the typical coach if not the typical malcontent? They are often the ones who never could themselves or ones who can't get past that they never can any more.

Anyone who has played Sunday kick around knows a good play results in at least a few fellow middle age-ed team mates yelping that he could have scored the goal BETTER--if you had only passed! And on those Sunday afternoons how often it is the holding back 21 year old who cheers a good move?

Time is so fleeting. It is so easy to denigrate the good and embrace the mediocre. God bless the Brazialians!
