Regardless of Sam Adam's motives or Jacob Duche's ultimate disgrace, the gist of what Mr. Romney said is profoundly true. It is absolutely absurd and cynical in the extreme to dismiss that portion of his speech simply because several hundred years ago the players involved had ulterior motives.
Mr. Romney appears to be a highly intelligent, successful business man in a loving marriage who happens to have a moral compass and goes to church on Sunday. If only the rest of the Presidential Candidates had the same background.
