Romney Speech Is Readied To Explain His Faith to Public
in response to reader comment: Romney and His Faith

I was just wondering how somone could have so much hate to a people! They have never sought out to harm anyone, they been hated and killed for their religion like the Jews. Polygamy also was NOT against the law during the time that it was being done. Once the law past, they discounted it (in the 1800's!). It is intresting that we would argue about something that is in the bible, but we can accept all things that happen in a place like Las Vegas. Abraham in the bible had more than one wife. Joseph Smith taught the mormons in " obeying, honoring, and sustaining the law." The Baptism for the dead that they do in temples can be found in the Bible in 1 Corinthians 15. Gods? They have God the Father; his son, Jesus Christ; and the Holy Ghost. Last I checked they are all in the bible.

Mormons may have ideas that are not the same as other christians, but it seems that all churches have their own ideas. Example, Catholics that their prayers to Mary, and whorship her, that practice is not in the bible. Oh, mormons don't replace the bible with the book of mormon. I'll bet that you have no idea what the story even is within it. Mormons use the King James bible. Mormons believe that a man must be called of god, like a prophet. That also is biblical. Mormonism isn't a cult, its the 4th largest church in America, and one of the fastest growing churches in the world. Your right Patricia! You aren't an expert on Mormons.

If I wanted to know about mormons why would I ask somone else about mormons, (like a peacher that simply hates them), wouldn't I ask a mormon? If I wanted to know about what a Jew believes wouldn't I ask him? If I wanted to know about being a Catholic wouldn't I ask a Catholic? I think THEY ALL know what THEY believe and why they believe it.

The problem with our country isn't mormons. JFK himself said "if the mormons continue to succeed, then so too will America continue to succeed." The problem with our country is people like you (Patricia).
