How about instead of calling yourselves "African American", call yourselves simply "American". The term "African American" is racist and divisive all by itself!

In my blood, I have French, English, "Native American", German and Italian. However, I would NEVER go around proclaiming myself as "French American, English American, Native American, Germain American, or Italian American". I am American. Period. Maybe if you start to think of yourselves as such, who knows, it might boost your self esteem and your willingness to actually cooperate with the rest of the us!
