Press Secretary Apologizes To Reporter

When the Fourth Estate falls prey to false claims of "partisanship" is precisely when we all need to review the intent of the Code of Journalistic Ethics. In this case, it is nice and simple: Seek truth and report it, which is impossible without asking questions. If government refuses to answer those questions or would obfuscate by labeling and intimidation of the press rather than answer their questions, we the people, have a serious problem. The Fourth Estate does not exist to be cowed by government unless there has been a reversal of democracy founded upon government, "of the people, FOR the people and by the people". Journalists are there FOR, the people. Any representative of government who resists such a foundational concept deserves compulsory remedial courses in high school civics.
