What the Catholic League has done is inform parents about Pullman's ideology so that they are not persuaded by the film to purchase the trilogy for their children. What's wrong with that? Why should catholics support those who mock their beliefs. Pullman is virulently anti-Catholic and wrote this trilogy as an antidote to C.S. Lewis' works. That's why all those anti-war movies have flopped and this probably will too. Boycotting is not censorship. It's democracy in action
