Shadow Of 1947
in response to reader comment: "The old razzle dazzle"

However, to play devil's advocate, and I am an ardent Zionist and a very proud Jew, I understand that the so-called refugees and their offspring have been assimilated in Jordan. If true, I am guessing that even though born West of the Jordan River, Jordan (formely Trans Jordan), is considered part of the old British Mandate of Palestine. It is also my understanding that under the Balfour Declaration, all of Palestine was to be the "Homeland for the Jews". This included what is now Israel, the territories and Jordan. The UN partition plan in 1947 went further and created two states, one Jewish, the other Muslim. The Arab's created the problem, as the article stated, by launching a war against Israel's existence.

I find it dismaying the we in the US are supporting the UN to the extent it provides aid to the so-called Palestinian refugees. I don't know how much money these people get from the UN (and US as the main contributor), but they deserve no aid whatsover. We have to consider the vast amounts of petro dollars flowing into Arab treasuries, much of it being used to buy state of the art weaponry, with which someday to launch a final jihad against the Jewish state.

I cannot understand why the UN is not made to end it's bias of the former Jews who were forced out of the Arab states, aiding them and their offspring? Perhaps a massive letter writing campaign to our legislators would put a stop to this farce and fraud once and for all?

All the rhetoric in the world is worthless, unless Israel and it's supporters start putting some heat on the UN. beginning with demanding a re-appraisal of this UN policy, which should have ended decades ago.
