Taxi Protest All About Taxes, Drivers Say

Submitted by Cliff Robinson, Dec 10, 2007 03:47

Paying Taxes on earnings is a Legal requirement and it is about time that the Government took a close look at such cach on ly businesses. I own a Ligitimate Limousine company and pay my own share of Taxes for Transit taxes as well as state and local Taxs. These Taxi drivers need to get a grip on reality. so what if their Medicare would decrease earnings by having to claim additional income. It would more than offset the difference and they would be legal as well.

What does it say when folks want to do something which is Illegal and attempt to force and threaten strikes over such illegal things like avoiding taxes. What kind of person would not want to be legal and to do the right thing?

It sickens me top see this segmant of the transportation industry attempt to keep from paying their fare share of taxes when they certainly earn the Money.

like all Illegal operators I hope the commision will hold them accountable and force compliance and level the playing field who knows our tax base may even drop if the right income is being claimed properly as it should be all the time.

Wake up and smell the changing times it is time to get legal and claim the income you generate and pay your fair share of the taxes which go along with being a legal operator.

Grow up
