The NIE's Threat To Israel

Submitted by leo solomon, Dec 11, 2007 06:38

The conclusion the intelligence community came to on the basis (according to British and Israeli intelligence)of dubious product, was largely influenced by the wishful thinking of the State Department. Their imput was coloured by an historical indiference to the fate of the Jews and a long held animosity toward the state of Israel itself. The State Department has, from Israel's very beginning , held and still holds, the view that Israel is a dangerous nuisance the world would be better off without.
