This is a nicely comprehensive article on a subject that I wouldn't think to see in the media: just how rotten this year has been for Wondie fans. In a comics era where WW fell farther and farther from her thematic base, 2007 contained the single worst! arc! ever! for WW: that of Amazons Attack! Yet fans could indeed dance in their hometown streets at the news that Gail Simone was taking over the title. Gail's not only an excellent, entertaining and daring writer but also a feminist (there's nothing wrong with the word or concept, people) one, and this bodes very well for all things Wondie. It is interesting that Dan Didio says, "They're [the Big Three at DC, including WW] made of diamond. They can weather a bad story," because he has been responsible for throwing oh so many bad and even disastrous storylines and concepts at Wonder Woman in the past. Hopefully the shaft that DD and others have given WW over the years has been extracted now and there'll be nothing but good times ahead... for a while. We'll enjoy 'em while we've got 'em. Good article.
