What more can I say except that I loved Mel Cheren for all that he stood for and all that he represented to me personally. HE WAS A HERO!

I know for sure that he is up there looking down and WANTING us to continue to celebrate life. He's that kind of passionate, warm, inviting and humble person that takes lemons and makes lemonade.

He's up there dancing with Larry, Tee, Keith, Kenny, and all the wonderful people whos lives were cut too short by AIDS yet left a profoundly lasting impression on us all - as will UNCLE MEL.

Today I reflect on the incredible catalog of wonderful songs that West End Records have touched you and I with throughout our lives on and off the dance floor - Mel Cheren had MUCH to do with the creation of and/or inspiration for that music. THANK YOU UNCLE MEL!

As for us... the question is WHERE DO WE GO FROM HERE....

I truly believe that Mel Cheren wants us all to KEEP ON DANCING!

Heartfelt & Feeling Blesssed to have had Mel Cheren in my life.

I love you all.

p.s.

I was just informed that the memorial services will take place on what would have been his 75th birthday - January 21st 2008 at a location in NYC to be announced. Please make plans to be in NYC for this very important gathering. Looking forward to seeing my New York & Global Soul family again soon.
