....but I get the feeling that if you could take away people's rights as well, you would. I mean, look at how many people lead pointless lives and really just constitute -- as Scrooge/Dickens put it -- the "surplus population?". And look how much time and effort teaching about human rights (the Constitution, etc.) takes away from other subjects......The bottomline is that animals are forced to suffer tremendous burdens in this world b/c of your and others' insensitivity. Since so much of your generation is lost, we clearly have to start with the children and hope that they will see that such cruelty is unnecessary.
