Cities Can't Handle Cost of the NFL

Your article misses the point here. If the NFL wants new stadiums for these teams, let them pony up all or at least most of the cash themselves. We have a billionare league with billionare owners and millionare players having the nerve to try and shake down taxpayers for money. I so respect the state of New Jersey for telling the NFL HELL NO and requiring the Giants and Jets to finance their own stadium. Yes, the teams get all of the proceeds from the stadium, but that is only fair since they paid for it. Municipalities around the country could learn a thing or two from that experience. In this day and age, with the league earning money hand over fist, we are beyond the need for taxpayers to finance these stadiums and a new model for this is needed. The same goes for major league baseball too.
