Mets Failed To Maximize Potential This Offseason

Tim, why is it you say things that aren't true just to neatly add another notch to your theory of things? Reyes had huge hand in the collapse as did Sosa and others who are still here, Shawn Green was one of only a few Mets who hit well in September, yet you include him in the list of others who failed. Eitther you're oblivious to what happened to this team, when and by who, or are beholden to something other in your journalistic pusuits that excludes the truth.

Regarding Milledge, I, as pt hyland, have seen most of the Mets games as well, and am not impressed with Milledge. In fact, he was utter embarrassment to the uniform with his childish, selfish behavior and refusal to listen to his manager. While a stronger manager and GM would have laid down law of the land rather than cave, it ultimately remains Milledge whose at fault and is the reason he's no longer a Met no matter his ceiling. Perhaps if he was impressive on the field, he would have stayed or been traded for a big fish, but he was neither impressive nor exhibited the type of on field behavior that is expected of a professional of any age. Your blaming of the Mets is just another example of a Milledge enabler in the long line of them.
