On Waterboarding: Lesser of Two Evils

Submitted by Gene, Dec 13, 2007 16:32

I personally could care less if the CIA use waterboarding to gain information from terrorists who have vowed to kill every American they can. One must remember that these people live to kill, not to help civilization. This has been spread across the world on TV and in newspapers - did our politicians miss this while working to defeat our military? Ask Senator McCain what types of real torture he endured under the VC and then see if we do this to our captured terrorists?

I say send every lawyer who represents the terrorist to Pakistan and Iraq and turn them loose for a couple of weeks to find people who will verify that these people have nothing to do with terrorism. Remember Daniel Pearl went to get a story for publication and lost his life to these same people we used a little water on. At least they are eating three meals per day, get to worship, get medical attention and have access to a legal team - was this afforded to Daniel Pearl? Was this afforded to the people in the WTC? Any Senator or Congress member who voted to stop the use of waterboarding must be held accountable by the citizens whose very life could be on the line if the information is not obtained otherwise.
