I haven't read the full report of Mitchell's investigation yet, but it sounds like so much sand in the public's eyes and trial by newspaper, fire and rack. These accused baseball players are now publicly pilloried, drawn and quartered, defamed and destroyed and convicted by links to BALCO (whatever that is), alleged Inernet drug connections, and some "connection" to drug use. It's blattted all over the media and not one of them has a chance to defend himself, offer witnesses and evidence in defense, cross examine their accusers or even have counsel at the forefront of their defense. Good old hanging judge Mitchell and his stalwarts. What a disgrace to a nation that used to stand for due process, but now looks like a tin horn dictatoship and countires behind the former Iron Curtain! Çongress does it again- the end justifies the means. A pox on its fallen House and Senate.
