Apparently, it's not enough that New Jersey drivers are essentially the aim of the Bloomberg "tax, and tax some more" attitude. There is a push on in NJ's Democrat-controlled State House to increase the gas tax SUBSTANTIALLY in NJ under the guise of "improving roads," when, in fact, it's only because the Democrats hate to idea that NJ has one of the lowest gasoline taxes in the country and they are getting too much heat from Albany about it.
Instead of incorporating on this one low tax and encouraging people to shop in NJ, with the additional fact that there is no tax on clothing in NJ (for now), the Democrats in NJ seek to increase one and do away with the exemption on the other, looking at increased sales in NJ malls as some type terrible thing. To the Democrats, it is better that we all suffer like New Yorkers rather than setting a good example.
Unfortunately, we as voters get what we deserve.
