That point about immigration is the best representation I've seen yet of the core difference between Bloomy and Giuli. I've been a fan of Bloomberg since the get-go and felt his defect from the GOP was both perfectly timed and dead-on correct. I'd vote for Bloomberg as an independent over any republican candidate any day of the week, especially if he keeps on with the Unity08.com people; their American Agenda, by the way, a user ranking of national issues, cites immigration as a top ten issue. In New York especially I'd say it's a top five issue. I'd like a President who would at least leverages the options rather than keeping immigrants out for the sake of winning votes.
