Taxi and Limousine Commission Unveils New High-Tech Fleet

Submitted by Yellow Cab Driver, Dec 15, 2006 22:20

This is just a waste of people's time and money. It willbe a distraction for the drivers and the credit card swipes will be vandelized by passengers and drivers.

The ads are just annoying, no two ways about it. I for one don't need a screen 12 inches from my face glaring useless information.

The mapping feature will just cause passengers who have no clue where they are in the first place to question the driver's route because it may look odd on a map. The driver often times knows that the fastest route is not the shortest.

The texting feature is important and a good idea. Especially the traffic and event information. The gps technology should be for driver security only.
