Bloomburg doesn't stand a chance of getting on the Republican ticket. He's Jewish, which scares off the Christian right, and he's relatively new to politics, which will keep the poltical middle from taking a chance on him. Huckabee's pitching to the Christian right will scare off the middle, and Romney's proclamation that Christ was the son of God and savior of all mankind, as if to prove a Morman is Christian enough to be president, should likewise disqualify him in the eyes of a nation electing an executive, not a cleric, and besides, the evangelicals *still* won't believe he's really a Christian. Tancredo is a one-issue crank, Thompson is soporiphic, Paul treads too closely to isolationism, and only Hunter's family knows he's running. Give me two guys who own themselves, who understand the spirit of public service, loathe fascists, and want to be careful spending other people's money.
