Actually, New York as a sanctuary city dates at least as far back as Mayor Koch. And statewide it's been taken to such an extreme that Gov. Spitzer is actually mad at the Feds for having recently denied his reimbursement requests for providing millions of bucks worth of chemotherapy treatment for -- you guessed it -- illegal aliens.

Just keep blindly voting Democrat if you want more of the same.
