It is confusing, however the ADL posts two stories, one of which links to the NY Sun story which does not mention the fact that the Good Samaritan is a Muslim man. The other story, is posted on the ADL site and reads as follows:
'We recognize the courage of the fellow subway rider who attempted to defend the victims from their attackers. It is heartening that there are good people who are willing to stand up when they witness racism, prejudice or bigotry.'
Indeed both the NY Sun and ADL stories omitted a key journalistic element of this story.
