Can you imagine Castro firing dozens of rockets a week at Florida ?

Hamas is presently using ineffective rockets to establish their 'right' to routinely attack Israel. Given the hundreds of tons of munitions in the Hamas arsenal, they have the capability to launch a SERIOUS sustained attack on Israel.

Because Olmert is beholden to the US, he pursues this unpopular and disastrous policy of doing nothing. When Hamas switches from home made Kassams to Russian military weaponry, Katyushas, etc. then Israel will experience large numbers of casualties, and be forced to react.
The only option that will reduce the attacks is one which makes it more painful for Hamas to continue them. Direct attacks on Hamas facilities. Cutting off fuel, water, electricity for days at a time will reinforce this punishment. But it is most important to directly harm Hamas.
