Mr. McCain calls for congress to eliminate the alternative minimum tax. Congress as a whole calls for increasing taxes in other areas to compensate. It seems few on either side of the aisle will consider cutting spending to offset the decreased tax receipts. Fancy that idea; decrease spending just like when families have a decrease in earnings and have to cut expenditures. Been there done that, but a most unique idea for congress.
