To The Editor : Is the love affair finally on the rocks ? Has Harlequin Romance dropped the serial rights ? I dearly hope so, because I found myself skipping your otherwise cogent comments for fear of reading another upsetting paeon to the Marahajah of Medford. But while we're on the subject , aside from a few tedious comments on the wonders of living in a city where there are 2500 Chinese Restaurants-- which , by the way, could only come from someone who hasn't eaten in any of the 2450 rice houses working off the same menu-- I am not aware of any mayoral policy regarding illegals in the town. All Guiliani has proposed for immigration is enforcing the laws on the books, plus a fluency in English and a knowledge of our laws and history. How that is wrong to you is bewildering. In Bloomberg's city, everyone staying longer than overnight is entitled to food credit cards , shelter and unlimited access to our hospitals, no questions asked. How is that is the "best position of any national figure ?" It actually sounds like something a would be lover might say to Britanny Spears --not thought through.
