As there are appx 2.2 million buildings in the five boroughs of NYC so I think you're over-reacting just a tad.
Here's what else you got wrong -
LPC has considered Yankee Stadium and turned it down. It has been so altered that little of its original fabric remains.
And yes, New York City is really that special.

Yes, I knew about Yankee Stadium. It was altered in 1975--AFTER the LPC was formed. Yankee Stadium is still special.... [MORE]
