Here it is 12/16, and I find myself once again not able to watch the game tonight between the Falcons & Cowboys. But something strange is overcoming me. I find that I am slowly being weaned from watching NFL football games. I have always been a staunch fan of the game, but, as I continue to get the impression that the game really doesn't care about the fan anymore, why should I pay as much attention to the game. Oh, I will watch the playoffs and the superbowl, but, like the NBA, only the postseason really matters. I am finding myself able to point my attention to other things in life, and am discovering that I really don't miss the game all that much any more. I just want to thank the NFL for bringing this to light, that I no longer need to spend as much time watching the game anymore. Thanks NFL for showing the way to new horizons. At least until baseball season begins again in the spring.
