Ground Set for Vacuum Of Power in the Balkans
in response to reader comment: Supporting Kosovo's independence is not an ethical stance

I can't escape the feeling of deja vue while reading this report. As far as I remember, Serbs were the first to start the fire in that region, against Slovens, Croats, Bosnians and at the end against Kosovo. Those are well documented facts, which is why I cannot really understand the opposition against independent Kosovo. According to such revisionist stance enhanced by Slavic solidarity against the only non-slavic people in the Balkans, the Albanians (as far as i know), it does not matter much if you kill, rape and exterminate whole nations, as long as you have the international law on your side!? How absurd is that!! The world stands facing two options here, in my modest opinion: 1. to follow the Russian model of dealing with non-obedient population, such as we witnessed first in Chechnya and later on against own Russian dissidents; 2. to recognize the legitimate right of people that refuse to live with those that think of nothing else but to kill and slaughter them. The freedom loving world will surely prefer the second option.

Besides, if other Slavs in the region refused to share the same house with the Serbs, why should Albanians be forced to live with them?
