It's true Messrs Huckabee and Romney are religious men but Romney is also an extraordinary business man. It's true religionists have historically made some bad calls but "scientists" don't have a great record either. I suspect religious scientists have the best record. As for poor math scores, 120 years ago, when the bible was the reading text in schools, elementary school students were able to do some pretty sophisticated math. The math score problem is probably not related to Huckabee's anti evolution belief. It's probably more directly related to poor teachers supported by the union and parents preoccupation with things outside the home. After all, home schooled children out perform the norm by quite a bit. Ed Barfuss
