In Defense Of Park Slope

I agree with some of your slop on the Slope but please try to get out of the neighborhood for eats once in awhile, although Al di La' is one of the tops but al little to cramped for me. As a person who has walked intensively in the neighborhood for years, I would suggest a look at 14th between the Park and Eighth as a block that is one of the nicest and with no attitude, really! I'm not sure why you spent so much time on Montgomery Place It's a bit of a gallimaufry in architectural terms. There are many better streets like Garfield Place where sits one my favorites #313. I do agree with your mention of Eighth Avenue and Garfield Place, the literal "center" of the slope and any person new to the neighbor could walk in any direction from here and discover why so many people want to live here. Would you believe, I knew some people who moved from this great location years ago. Thanks for name dropping all those architects but it's all in the feel of walking these streets that is exciting to the senses. And lastly, using the word 'gateway', come on! The Slope has its faults but it really needs no defense. Too many people, including myself who love it, want it this way.
