As the largest private property owner in the West Harlem area fighting to remain despite Columbia's continued threats of the use of eminent domain, I wholeheartedly commend the Sun on this editorial. Columbia's threats are even more egregious than those of Ratner in that, in the Columbia plan, a total "take-over" of an 18-acre area would result, leaving nothing for the West Harlem community. All residents, all businesses, all houses of worship and all small property owners would be removed against their wishes to stay and "merely" share the neighborhood with Columbia. I for one will not back down. I have committed myself and my resources to fight Columbia, even if it means a lengthy legal battle all the way to the United States Supreme Court.
