Looking for Mr. Right in 2008

In response to Mr. Barone's artice, where he lamenets the following:

"Republicans, facing an electorate half of which doesn't remember the 1970s and most of which has not appreciated the generally good economy we've had since 2001, have yet to muster persuasive arguments for their policies."

One must assume the "Republicans" you were referring to are all the aforemetioned in the artice save Congressman Ron Paul. Having said that, one would concurr in that few voters I know are looking for merely cardboard stand ins for a Bush third term ... with endless war and bigger government, unabated.

Philosophicly, if you offer thirsty people a glass of dirty water they will grudgingly drink it. Conversely, that is precisely why Ron Paul's campaing has "persuaded" more individual donors (126,000) to contribute to his campaign than almost all of the Bush Third Term Republicans combined.

Freedom is popular.
