Unfortunately, because the very large income earners are so few, sizeable increases in tax revenues only come by lowering the starting point of the tax and hope changes in behavior for the very rich don't foil the attempt. Higher taxes on corporations are good? They tax everyone because the corporation is merely the tax collector from its customers. Also, it makes products more expensive which won't help the booming foreign sales. Isn't it true, if you want more of something, lower the price; if you want less, tax it? Why is less better?
