This is the degree of ignorance that hurts America's world standing. Mr. Huckabee should, before letting loose such a cannon ball, seek the advice of senior Republican leaders. America gives shelter to millions of foreign-born citizens from hundreds of different countries throughout the world. Such citizens CHOSE to become citizens of the USA. They are not citizens by accident of birth. These citizens may be required to hold the passport of their native country in order to enter/leave these countries with the purpose of visiting friends or relatives. These foreign-born citizens will normally vote to further policies that favor the U.S. It is this kind of hasty knee-jerk kind of remark that sets the US back. Sorry, Mr. Huckabee, you have lost hundreds of thousands of potential votes. I want my next president to think before shooting.
